Version 1.0 Launch

Version 1.0 of Eldara: The Forgotten Realm launched on 2 September 2026. That date is the one that matters when someone asks whether the game is out. It is out. Early Access, which had run since 15 June 2026, ended. Eldara Games shipped a complete single-player idle RPG on Steam: seventeen skills, seventeen pets, three houses, dungeons, mythic world bosses, rebirth with Eternal Forge Echoes, hardcore, offline progress, Steam Cloud, and sixty-eight achievements. Windows and Steam Deck Playable. One-time purchase. No microtransactions.

This page is the launch contract. For the months that built the Forge and the cape, read the Early Access recap. For a calendar of both, stay on the patch history hub.

What “complete 1.0 systems” means here

Complete does not mean the studio will never patch again. It means the loops this wiki teaches are no longer labelled unfinished.

Skills. All seventeen are in: Melee, Range, Magic, Defence, Hitpoints, Mining, Smithing, Woodcutting, Fishing, Cooking, Fletching, Firemaking, Cultivating, Cremating, Crafting, Thieving, Hunting. Firemaking remains a global XP accelerator. Training order lives on skill training priority.

Pets. Seventeen companions, unlocked by mastering skills, with permanent domain bonuses that persist through rebirth. Named landmarks: Steelfang, Sharpeye, Whisper, Sprout. Roster on skill pets.

Houses. Ashen Legion (combat), Verdant Circle (gathering), Gilded Hammer (crafting). Donations shift reputation and can cut rivals. Deep dive on three faction houses.

Combat and hunts. Three gear sets, three mythic world bosses themed to melee, range, and magic, dungeon lairs including Sunken Crypt and Ignarath’s throne, and the Abyssal Hornfiend’s 0.03% Abyssal Cape. Loadouts on melee, range, and magic builds. Hunt attitude on mythic world bosses.

Rebirth. Keep Codex, collections, achievements, and pets. Gain about +5 gear refinement per cycle toward a cap near +50. Lose Eternal Forge Echoes and Forge upgrades. Sixty-four Forge ranks unlock a crate exchange at 5,000,000 Echoes per crate. Planner on rebirth resets.

Hardcore. One life, half XP, half gold. Still present at 1.0. Not a temporary EA challenge.

If a feature is not in that list, do not assume 1.0 added it. 1.0 did not add a cash shop or a party finder. The living-world texture — travelling merchants, town criers, whispered subplots — was already part of the pitch and remains part of the save.

Leaving Early Access

Leaving EA is a store-state change and a promise change. The store-state change is simple: the Early Access banner comes off, the release date reads 2 September 2026, and reviews sit on a released game. The promise change is that systems taught during August are now the baseline, not experiments you should expect to vanish.

Players who bought during EA already owned the game. 1.0 is not a new SKU you must repurchase. Cloud saves continue. Achievements continue. A save that learned Firemaking in June still has Firemaking in September.

What did change is how you should talk about the game in guides. Sentences that say the loop is unfinished are wrong now. Sentences that describe Patch 24 and Patch 25 as history are right. This wiki’s honest review should be read as a 1.0 review, not as an EA preview.

The introductory sale

At launch, Steam showed an introductory discount — 30% off — on Eldara. Coverage around launch pointed at mid-September 2026 (about 16 September) for that window. Launch discounts end. This page records that the 1.0 storefront used that sale as the welcome mat, not that the price is a permanent mechanic. Always check the live Steam page. Details sit on the launch discount page.

The important design fact next to the sale is the payment model: you buy the game once. There is no battle pass hiding behind the discount, and there is no “buy XP” button that would make Firemaking optional. If you are here because a sale window made the purchase easy, still light the fires. The day-one walkthrough and the idle window primer are the post-purchase steps.

What 1.0 expects you to do in the first week

  1. Enable Steam Cloud. Idle games punish lost saves more than they punish slow XP.
  2. Park Woodcutting and Firemaking so the global accelerator exists.
  3. Cook. Auto-eat is the combat UI.
  4. Pick one style. Refine that set. Do not spend the launch week on all three mythics.
  5. Unlock the first pets that match the skills you actually idle.
  6. Donate to a house only when surplus exists.
  7. Rebirth only after you have read what resets. Echoes are the trap for excited 1.0 buyers who just learned the Forge exists.

Steam Deck Playable is a 1.0 fact. It does not change the idle rules. It changes where the client sits while a hunt runs. Windowed desktop play on Windows remains the other supported story.

What 1.0 did not rewrite

The Eternal Forge still generates Echoes, still has sixty-four ranks, still resets on rebirth, still sells random crates at 5,000,000 Echoes once those ranks are done. The Abyssal Cape is still a 0.03% melee back drop. Localization work that landed in EA is still in the client; a language appearing in a later hotfix would not revert the release status.

Read the August patches as the reason those sentences are true, then come back to this page when you need the date that made them official. Official store, studio site, and Discord remain the places to confirm a new note: they are collected on the links hub.

Version 1.0 did not add a cash shop or a party finder. It shipped the seventeen-skill loop, pets, houses, and rebirth as a finished single-player purchase, then put a launch discount on the store page.
