Factions

Eldara Houses, Pets, and Bosses

This hub is factions and hunts — not a player-character roster.

Factions & Pets Hub

This category is named like a roster because the wiki template uses a players slot. In Eldara: The Forgotten Realm it is not a list of heroes you unlock. Version 1.0 is a single-player idle RPG: you are the save. What you do unlock are three faction houses, seventeen skill pets, dungeon lairs, and three mythic world bosses. This hub is the map of those systems.

If you came here looking for a starter character, you can stop. There is no gacha banner and no party of units. There is a Codex, a bank, and a reputation panel that remembers donations. Start with the day-one walkthrough if the save is new. Stay here if you are about to pick a house, chase a pet, or park a hunt you do not want to wipe.

What lives in this hub

Three child pages, on purpose:

  • Three faction houses — Ashen Legion (combat), Verdant Circle (gathering), Gilded Hammer (crafting). Donations shift reputation. A gift that raises one standing can cut the other two. Read that page before you dump a bank of trophies because a tooltip looked friendly.
  • Skill pets and companions — seventeen pets, one per mastered skill. Named examples include Steelfang the wolf pup, Sharpeye the hawk, Whisper the spectral familiar, and Sprout the seedling. Bonuses are permanent and persist through rebirth.
  • Mythic world bosses — three mythic hunts themed around melee, range, and magic, plus dungeon bosses in places such as the Sunken Crypt and Ignarath’s throne, plus a note on the Abyssal Hornfiend and the 0.03% Abyssal Cape.

Those pages are meant to be read with the ranking hub, not instead of it. Houses change what you donate. Pets change what you keep after a prestige. Bosses change which gear set you park. Rankings for those decisions sit on skill, pet, and build rankings, including pet value by domain and combat loadouts.

Factions are politics, not classes

Joining a house does not lock your combat style. A Verdant Circle save can still main Magic. A Gilded Hammer save can still park Melee. What the house changes is the social ledger: which donations feel smart, which rivals you annoy, and which flavour of idle block the world seems to applaud. The studio’s older marketing once talked about a wider faction cast. The live 1.0 design you should plan around is the three houses named above.

Reputation is a long tick, not a daily login. Eldara has no microtransactions, so you cannot buy standing. You can only donate items the houses actually want and live with the fact that the other two are watching. If that sounds annoying, it is working. The Forgotten Realm is supposed to remember what you do.

Pets are the roster that survives

Think of the seventeen companions as the closest thing this game has to a unit list. You do not deploy them on a field. You master a skill, you claim the pet, you keep the domain bonus through rebirth. Codex, collections, and achievements also persist. Eternal Forge Echoes do not. That split is why a pet chase can be a better last action before prestige than one more Forge rank. The rebirth reset planner spells out the keep/reset list; this hub is the reminder that pets belong on the keep side.

Bosses are exams, not a raid schedule

There is no group finder. A world boss is a single-player idle hunt with a loot table and a style check. A dungeon boss is a multi-stage lair with its own monsters and its own threat ladder. We will not invent hit point numbers. We will tell you which style to bring, which cape is a lottery, and which rooms (Sunken Crypt, Ignarath’s throne) are worth learning on the dungeon guide.

Hardcore makes every exam permanent: one life, half XP, half gold. If that is your save, this hub is required reading, not flavour. The hardcore rules cover the mode. This hub covers the things that can end the mode.

Suggested reading order

  1. New save, no house yet: factions page, then a gathering or artisan skill so you have something to donate that you can actually replace.
  2. Skills coming up on mastery: pets page, then the matching rank on the pet list so you know whether the companion is a standing order or a Codex stamp.
  3. Gear set feels ready: world bosses page, then loadouts, then a dungeon route. Do not skip food.
  4. About to rebirth: this hub’s pet reminder, then the rebirth planner, then a last look at house standing so you do not prestige in the middle of a donation plan that needed one more night.

Eldara is released. Early Access opened on 15 June 2026 and closed when version 1.0 shipped on 2 September 2026. The houses, pets, and bosses described here are 1.0 systems, not a wishlist. Offline progress, Steam Cloud, sixty-eight achievements, Windows and Steam Deck Playable, one-time purchase.

Read houses first if you donate, pets first if you are chasing mastery, and bosses first if a hunt is already running. This hub is a roster of systems, not a character select screen.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this a list of playable characters?

No. Eldara has no gacha roster. This hub covers the three faction houses, seventeen skill pets, and world bosses. You are the character.

Which page should I open first?

The three faction houses if you are about to donate, skill pets if a mastery is close, and mythic world bosses if a hunt is already parked.

Do pets and house standing survive rebirth?

Pets persist. Codex, collections, and achievements persist. House play continues on the same save's politics. Eternal Forge Echoes reset. Confirm the full keep/reset list on the rebirth planner.

Are the three mythic bosses tied to combat styles?

Yes. They are melee-, range-, and magic-themed. Bring the matching gear set from the combat loadout rankings rather than a mixed bag of trophies.

Does this hub include multiplayer groups?

No. Eldara is a single-player Steam game. Houses are NPC politics, not clans you raid with.
