Eldara Mythic Bosses and Dungeon Lairs

Three style exams, dungeon thrones, and one very rude cape drop.

Mythic World Bosses

Eldara’s 1.0 combat endgame is not a raid calendar. It is a set of hunts you park when the gear, the food, and the style actually match. This page covers three layers: the three mythic world bosses (melee-, range-, and magic-themed), dungeon bosses in lairs such as the Sunken Crypt and Ignarath’s throne, and a separate note on the Abyssal Hornfiend that can drop the Abyssal Cape. We will not invent hit point numbers, enrage timers, or parsed DPS. If a Steam note or the Codex card lists a figure, trust that over a wiki guess.

Read this after you understand idle combat. Houses and pets for the same save sit on the factions, pets, and bosses hub. The combat styles explainer covers auto-eat, Defence, and Hitpoints. The combat loadout rankings cover the three gear sets and refinement. The dungeon routes cover how you even walk into a lair. This page is the hunt list and the attitude.

The three mythic world bosses

Version 1.0 includes three mythic world bosses, themed so that each combat style has a late exam. One hunt wants Melee. One hunt wants Range. One hunt wants Magic. That is the design. It is why this wiki refuses to declare a single best style on the loadout page.

Bring the matching set. Refinement of about +5 per rebirth (cap near +50) sits on the gear you actually wear. Showing up to the range mythic in a beloved melee set because “it has more pluses” is how idle hunts stall. Park the correct story. Keep Firemaking lit in the background so the XP from the camp is not sad.

Bring food. Cooking is part of the boss kit. A mythic is still an idle action. If auto-eat runs dry, the character stops being a hunter and starts being a corpse. That is annoying in a normal save. That is fatal in hardcore (one life, half XP, half gold).

Bring the matching pet if you have it. Steelfang, Sharpeye, and Whisper are the named combat-adjacent companions. They persist through rebirth, which means a mythic you take after a prestige can still have the wolf, hawk, or familiar on the save. They do not replace Defence. Roster rules live on the skill pets page.

Do not wait for a group. Eldara is single-player. There is no queue. The mythic is ready when your set is ready, not when a Discord ping happens. The official Discord is a good place to ask whether a patch changed a resistance; it is not a raid finder. Links sit on the official links hub.

We are not printing invented boss names on this page. If your Codex shows a title, use that title. The mechanical fact that matters for planning is the style theme, not a fan-made nickname.

Dungeon bosses: Sunken Crypt and Ignarath’s throne

Dungeons are multi-stage encounters with their own loot tables, their own monsters, and their own threat ladder. Two landmark rooms you should learn by name:

Sunken Crypt. A lair, not a mythic world boss. Expect a chain of threats rather than a single parked camp. Bring food for the whole chain. Bring the style the monsters in this crypt actually punish. Studio flavour has long hinted that skeletons do not love melee; if your Codex still says that on the crypt’s residents, park Range or Magic instead of arguing with bones.

Ignarath’s throne. The other landmark. The Forgotten Realm’s lore puts Ignarath on a throne for a reason. Treat it as a dungeon exam with a loot table, not as a cutscene. You will want a finished gear story, a cook loop, and a plan for whatever resistances the throne’s guards are showing this patch. Walk the route on the dungeon guide rather than improvising from this paragraph.

Other dungeons exist and will exist. This wiki will name them when the live game does. Do not donate unique dungeon inputs to a house because the reputation bar looked hungry. Ashen Legion, Verdant Circle, and Gilded Hammer all watch donations; a gift that raises one can cut the other two. Faction caution lives on the three faction houses page.

Abyssal Hornfiend and the Abyssal Cape

Patch 25, during Early Access, added a legendary melee back piece: the Abyssal Cape, dropped by the Abyssal Hornfiend at 0.03%. It is wired into the Collection Log, Codex, drop tables, and rebirth collection tracking. That is a lot of systems for one slot.

What that means for you:

  • The Hornfiend is a hunt with a lottery table, not a fourth mythic style. You still only have melee, range, and magic loadouts.
  • 0.03% is not a training plan. Park the Hornfiend when the melee set is already good enough to idle, not when you “need” the cape to start melee.
  • Collections persist through rebirth. A dry streak does not get erased by prestige, which is mercy. Echoes still reset, which is not.
  • If you play Hammer or Circle, you can still chase the cape. Houses do not ban loot. They only get angry when you donate the wrong surplus.

Do not confuse the Hornfiend with the three mythic world bosses. Do not confuse the cape with a skill pet. Pets come from mastery. Capes come from stubbornness.

Preparation checklist (no fake HP)

  1. One style selected. Two other styles in the bank, not on the body.
  2. Firemaking running. Woodcutting not empty.
  3. Cooking stocked for the full offline window you actually take.
  4. Defence and Hitpoints high enough that a closed lid is not a wipe.
  5. Matching combat pet if mastered; gathering and artisan pets if the loop needs them.
  6. House donations paused if the next item in the bank is a unique drop you have not Codexed.
  7. Hardcore players: skip the hunt unless the checklist is boring. Boring is the point.

When a patch lands, reread Steam notes before you reread this page. The version 1.0 launch notes and the Early Access recap explain how Forge ranks, Echo crates, and the cape even got into the file. Boss HP we refuse to invent would be the first thing a hotfix would invalidate anyway.

Walk into Sunken Crypt and Ignarath’s throne for dungeon loot, then treat the three mythic hunts as style exams. The Hornfiend’s cape is a lottery, not a training plan.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What are the three mythic world bosses?

Three 1.0 hunts themed around melee, range, and magic. Bring the matching gear set. This page does not invent their hit points or unofficial nicknames; use the live Codex card for the title on your build.

Is the Abyssal Hornfiend one of the three mythics?

Treat it as a separate lottery hunt. It can drop the Abyssal Cape, a legendary melee back piece, at 0.03%. Collections persist through rebirth; the drop rate is still a drop rate.

Which dungeon names should I learn first?

Sunken Crypt and Ignarath's throne. They are multi-stage lairs with their own loot tables. Route details belong on the dungeon guide, not in a hit-point table we will not publish.

Can I fight bosses with friends?

No. Eldara is a single-player idle RPG. Houses are NPC politics, not a raid group. Park the hunt on your save when the loadout is ready.

Should hardcore players take mythics early?

No. Hardcore is one life, half XP, half gold. Wait until food, Defence, Hitpoints, and the matching set are boring. Read the hardcore rules before you park a throne.
